This article has nothing to do with Hot Wheels Mustangs. Matter fact, it's totally not just about Hot Wheels. I want to take a few minutes to discuss the diecast community as a whole and explain why I continue to be a part of it.
First off, I just want to say that the diecast community is small but it includes some of the most awesome people I've ever met. Besides the cars and diecast, they're are truly some down to earth collectors that just like to shoot the bull and have fun. During my almost six years of collecting Mustangs, I have ran across some very nice collectors on Facebook, face to face, and on other websites that are always looking out for me as far as Mustangs go and always looking to have fun, talking about diecast. I realize not every collector is going to represent themselves as a top notch kind of collector and cause chaos in the hobby. Yes, there are those collectors that give the hobby a bad name but trust me, the good collectors way outnumber the bad ones.
Second of all, it don't matter what you collect or how big your collection is. Everyone involved in the diecast community just comes together for one another to help out in anyway they can or help lead the person in the right direction when looking for a certain piece for their collection. It truly means a lot to me since I do just collect HW Mustangs, which represents just a very small portion of diecast as a whole.
With that said, I just want to say Thank You for all the awesome collectors I've ran into over my years of collecting. Thanks for helping me with my collection and most of all, thanks for your friendship! That means a lot. If your not in the diecast community, your missing out on a very interesting, and fun hobby. It's not the cars that makes it fun, it's the people involved! I hope if you do decide to ever get into diecast, it's an awesome experience for you, as it is for me.
