Back in 2010 when I first started collecting Mustangs, I had a good friend tell me about this variation and how hard it was to find. With that said, I began my search for the hard to find car. The common wheel variation isn't that easy to find as not many of these five packs were made so I knew finding the rare variation was going to be a challenge. Well let's skip to 2015, 5 years after I found out about this variation. It was a Wednesday and I just get on eBay like I always do everyday to see what's been newly listed. As I began scrolling I see a picture that I had to take a second glance at. I couldn't believe it, it was the '69 Mustang variation that I had been hunting for over five years. Thinking I had little, if any chance of scoring it, I go ahead and throw in a max bid of $20. So with that, the wait begins and the auction was listed for six days. I'd look at the auction everyday to check what the bidding was at, and every time I looked, no one had bid on it. As the days were winding down, I began wondering if maybe no one knew about this hard to find Mustang. Well on the last day I watched it closely, up til the very end and still no other bids. After 5 years of searching for this Mustang, I now can say I own one in my collection, and it came with a great price of $3.99! $3.99 for a Mustang that is very hard to find and tough to get, who would have thought. Just a nice story I thought I'd share! I will post better pictures under the variations page when I get it in!
