In this review will be looking at the New Model '05 Mustang GT, which came out in 2005 with 2 color variations, and several wheel variations. The first one we are going to look at is the black '05 Mustang. This one was a Wal-Mart exclusive that became a hit once it hit the pegs. Definitely one of the best looking '05's in the Hot Wheels mainlines. Collectors grabbed these up as soon as they found them. Matter fact, this Mustang was selling for over $100 when it first hit stores!
This '05 Mustang sported the FTE wheels and also was very popular when it hit the pegs as a New Model. This was the very first year these FTE wheels were used.
These next two '05's look exactly alike but there is one difference and to be able to notice the difference you'd have to turn the car upside down. It had a base variation which also made the interior colors different. The Hot Wheels logo was chrome on one and black on the other as well as the interiors. Both of these were commonly found making these easy to find.
Here is another wheel variation that could have been found on the New Model '05 Mustang. These wheels are called Y5's. This variation was also to find on the pegs just like the other wheel variations.
These are some very nice Mustangs and it was actually nice seeing the new body style of 2005 enter the Hot Wheels mainlines. Several of this casting has been made since it's release and it's still in the mainlines as of today.
